About Time to Run
Who can take part?
We encourage anyone of any age to take part. You might be totally new to running, looking for a fun activity to do with your family or training for another event. If you have any health concerns, please consult your doctor before taking on the challenge.
How do I take part?
Visit the homepage to sign up and set up your Justgiving page. Once you’ve done that, simply start running your 30 miles throughout November. How you want to complete this challenge is up to you. Whether it’s alone or with a team, or on a treadmill, all you have to do is run 30 miles between 1 and 30 November.
How do I get my running top and water bottle?
If you raise £150 you’ll be sent an exclusive Time to Run running top as a thank you for all your fundraising. If you go the extra mile and raise £250 you’ll also be sent a water bottle.
To claim these items you will need to complete the link sent to you by email. Once you have completed that the item will be sent within the next week.
If you would like to purchase a top you can get one online at our Parkinson’s shop.
How do I join the Facebook group?
To connect with others taking part in Time to Run please join our Facebook group. This is a place to share tips and keep each other updated on how you’re getting on.
Do I have to run or can I walk or jog instead?
Absolutely! Time to Run isn’t about how you take part but about getting out and ticking off your miles.
Do I have to run 30 miles or can I do an alternative distance?
30 miles is a recommended distance, but if you would like to do a different distance please go ahead and change your target distance on your fundraising page by clicking ‘edit page’.
What's the best way to track my miles?
We recommend you use Strava to track your miles which will load automatically to your fundraising page. If you would rather track your distance manually you can do this too. Find the ‘Log fitness’ button on your fundraising page and enter your distance each day.
Can we take part as a team?
Of course! It’s a great activity to take part in as a team. If you want to join a team, or create a team, you can do this when you set up your fundraising page.
If you’ve already set up your page and want to join a team, click ‘edit page’ and then ‘Team’. You can then search for another team or create your own.
Fundraising
Is there a fundraising target?
